A trip to the ER

We headed over to Clarion West emergency room last night with Brad.  He took a hit during football practice last night and they were afraid that the hand might have been broken.  After x-rays and a medium wait (at least for ER standards), we found out that it was just contusions and got a wrist splint, a RX for ibuprofen and were sent home.  We're thankful that it wasn't any worse than what it was and that we cleared out of the ER by a little after 9:30.  As we were walking out - we noticed that the waiting room was standing room only with people in masks.  It's flu season in Indiana and we would have been there forever if we had arrived any later than we did.  Brad wanted to wait until after teen group to go to the hospital.  Thank you Granny for putting the nix on that idea.  Our timing was perfect.
