Today, Granny and I took Brad to the Central Indiana Caged Bird - Fall Bird Fair. What fun!!! No, really! We wanted to let Brad have a look at what he could earn with an all A's and B's report card. This was our chance to let Brad handle a cockatiel and really see what he thought. Below are the pictures of Brad (and me) with the bird that we would have gone home with had the grades already been there. Brad has decided that the delicate nibbling of the cockatiel is just fine as opposed to the bite that you get from the conures. :) We went ahead and got a basket and some toys for the bird cage in Brad's room. The basket is a place where the bird can perch and hang out when he's not in his cage. This is a great way for Brad to have the bird hang out with him while he's doing homework etc. It's even got some toys on it to keep the bird amused.
I talked with some amazing women from the Parrot Posse. They were very informative and helpful and kind to let Brad hold the bird for as long as he wanted to.
If the grades had been there - this guy would have been coming home with us.
He was wonderful!
