Well, Mom had her hip replaced today. The surgery ahead of hers overslept, so the doctor called her and told her that they could take her a little early. Man! You wouldn't believe how fast a hospital can check someone in and prep them for surgery when the surgeon is just standing around.
The surgery took about an hour and a half and she was in recovery for about an hour. Once she got up to her room, we got some lunch ordered for her and kept her awake long enough to eat. After that (and some Benedryl for the itching associated with the anesthetic) she went down for the count and I headed home. The doc said that everything went great and that they expect a smooth recovery from her.
