Probation Meeting

Well, we had our March probation meeting with Jennifer this evening. Mike is on vacation, so Brenda (from the Task Force) met with us. In talking with Jennifer, she basically said that there isn't anything that she can do about Billy's behavior at school. She's looking to close out his case as soon as possible. She wants for Mike and us to have another case conference at school to set Billy up with Goodwill Industries or with some sort of Voc Rehab so that he can get some skills training so that he has something to fall back on once he drops out of school. If it's written up in a case conference, then the school will be required to follow through with the services for Billy. I'm not sure that I understand everything that she said, but we'll do what they're asking. Billy asked her if she thought that he would be released from probation by the time that he turns 18. She said that if he follows through on his end of things, that should be no problem.
