Brad came to talk to me this evening. He says that he's done visiting with his mom and dealing with the anger and hurt. He called her this evening to let her know that he didn't want to visit anymore. He told her that he didn't want to put up with the mistreatment from Doug and she asked him what about what she had to put up with. I asked him what she meant by that. He said that she was talking about putting up with him. We are in agreement that if he is the problem, then problem solved.
After he made the phone call, you could see the stress drop from his shoulders. I know that he still wishes that he could have a real loving relationship with her, but if she isn't capable - at least this way, he's more at peace.
