Labor Day in Ohio!

Friday evening, after school/work, we headed east to the great state of Ohio. We were on our way to see Ray & Dorothy and the rest of Bill’s clan. What fun! I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy my extended family. Gary Alan refers to me as his aunt even though I’ve only been around for a few years. I LOVE that kid! He’s a daddy now and Aubryanaah is his gorgeous 6-month-old. She’s holding her bottle already! I just love her little pursed lips. J We also got to meet Gary’s girlfriend, Leigh. What a sweet young lady. She has two sons, Caden & Jamison, and is so sweet and gentle with them and with Aubryanaah. What a good mommy! I hope that they’re able to travel this direction at some point and hang with us here. We’d love to have more time with them.

Wayne and River are getting so big. They weren’t sure that it was manly enough to give hugs when we first arrived, but did give bear-hugs when we were getting ready to leave. River is starting Kindergarten this year. My, how time flies! Bradley had a great time driving the golf cart and hanging out with the boys.

Saturday evening, we had a FEAST. I’m not exaggerating. We had grilled steaks and chicken, mashed (fresh) potatoes, fresh green beans, fresh corn, fresh tomato slices and biscuits. All of the veggies came right out of Dorothy’s garden. Everything was fantastic!!! The whole family was there (minus Gary who stayed home for the w/e) and we had a really nice visit. No-one went away from that table hungry.
